宋代医家许叔微本着务求效验的宗旨博采众方,所著《普济本事方》一书搜集了为数不少的古方,也记录了不少他的治验,内容丰富,其中颇多宝贵的临证经验,值得我们研究和借鉴。知母汤和升麻牛蒡元参汤均见于该书的肿满水气蛊胀篇。两方合用有益气散寒,祛风消肿之效。笔者运用知母汤 Xu Shuwei, a medical doctor in the Song Dynasty, applied all the principles of his works to the general public.
