Potentiation (VLP) is the electrical activity induced by delayed depolarization of local ventricular myocytes. It is a reflection of the ventricular myoelectric fragmentation potential on the surface of the body. Delayed electrical activity is prone to reentry activation and leads to malignant arrhythmia . At present, most of the studies on the predictive value of body surface ventricular late potentials (VLPs) are limited to coronary heart disease. We examined 70 VLPs in patients with diabetes mellitus
