Through comparative analysis of the characteristics of the traditional painting color teaching and design color teaching and the training objectives, and the relationship between the current status of the design major and the development of the times, the article discusses the importance and ways and means of designing the color teaching; Color teaching is to enhance students’ thinking of design awareness, improve the ability to cultivate the design color, emphasize the combination of art and design color, make the design of color teaching to play the real basic advantages.
