In the Cenozoic alkaline basalts in the eastern coastal areas of China, the mantle rock inclusions such as spinel lherzolites are widely distributed. The annealing time and annealing temperature of mantle rock are the important symbols of lithospheric evolution. The study shows that the mantle peridotite is a heterogeneous enclave in the host rock and is a pre-existing solid mantle material. Microscopic observations show that the main rock-forming minerals in the mantle peridotite often contain circular mineral inclusions, such as olivine containing spinel and orthopyroxene, orthopyroxene containing olivine and spinel inclusions. The morphological changes of the mineral inclusions from the original polygons to the spherulites are that the mantle rocks are deformed at some annealing temperature
