第一次知道罗成琰这个名字,是在20多年以前。那时我刚刚大学毕业,分到湖南师大中文系当助教。那天是中文系首届硕士研究生论文答辩,我也去了。本来是出于好奇,到了那里,场面之热烈让我感到意外。偌大教室不但坐满了人,走道上站满了人,还有在教室后面站在椅子上听的。这是我第一次参加研究生论文答辩,也是我在以后的岁月中参加以至主持过的论文答辩中最有人气的一次。那是一个学术神圣的时代。
