金州区为解决裸根苗在石质山上造林成活率低的难题,从1982年开始采用容器苗造林,到1988年共培育日本黑松、侧柏等各类容器苗1,940万株,造林七万亩。通过生产实践,总结出容器育苗和容器苗造林的先进技术,并取得了造林“两率”高,降低造林成本,缩短育苗周期,扩大造林适期,加速幼树生长,加快绿化步伐的经济效益和生态效益。
