《论语·子路篇》载:叶公问政。子曰,“近者悦,远者来”。意为境内人民欢悦无怨,境外人民心生向往,此乃国泰民安之象。在武侠小说中,“悦来”是闻名遐迩的客栈通称,更是江湖的缩影。全国叫“悦来”的地方有上百个,令人难忘的渝北悦来和因冷公馆而闻名的大邑悦来皆悉数在列,但它们的名气都比不过扼守渝鄂咽喉上的石柱县悦来古镇(为避重名,今已改名悦崃)。因为它是所有“悦来”中唯一兼备论语的富庶安康和武侠的铿锵豪情双重气质的地方。
