在国际破产领域，单一破产制和复合破产制、普遍破产主义和地域破产主义之争由来已久。为解决这些问题的国际合作导致了国际破产法统一化运动的兴起。统一国际破产法，一直是海牙国际私法会议的重要议题和工作重点，而当代欧洲的地区性合作则已在这方面取得显著成果。国际破产法统一化运动的趋势，表现为逐步脱离地域破产主义而转向有限的普遍破产主义。我国在建立和完善涉外破产的法律制度时．也应顺应这一趋势，并注意借鉴国际社会破产法律制度的共同规则。
In the field of international bankruptcy, the dispute between single bankruptcy and compound bankruptcy, widespread bankruptcy and regional bankruptcy has taken a long time. International cooperation to solve these problems led to the rise of the Uniform Movement for International Bankruptcy Law. The unification of international bankruptcy law has been a major issue and focus of the Hague Conference on Private International Law and regional cooperation in contemporary Europe has achieved remarkable results in this respect. The trend towards the unification of international insolvency law has manifested itself in a shift away from limited geographical bankruptcy to limited universal bankruptcy. When China establishes and improves the legal system of bankruptcy involving foreign affairs. It should also follow this trend and pay attention to drawing on the common rules governing the legal system of bankruptcy in the international community.
