本文通过对《算数书》的具体考察,发现其数学表达方式十分繁杂,没有同一的格式:名数分数的表示方式有2类6种,除法的表示方式有7类19种,数学问题的起首方式有4种,发问方式有3种,问题答案的表示方式有4种。本文认为,《算数书》中繁杂的数学表示方式是先秦数学所固有的,张苍、耿寿昌等在编定《九章算术》时对中国传统数学的表达方式做了规范化处理,以《九章算术》为模式改动《算数书》的表达方式显然是不合适的。
