The natural climatic conditions of the Chelyileskoye region in Kzur-Orgun are the most suitable for the cultivation of rice. The ’Kraz-Tu’ collective farms and rice in this area are of prime importance in the farm economy. Over the past few years, collective farms have produced about 45 kilograms per hectare of rice in an area of 700 hectares or more. The famous rice writer and hero of socialist labor, Stalin Prize winner Ibrahim Sahayev, worked in a collective farm in Kzel-Tu. For years he and many of his successors have adopted and constantly refined advanced agricultural technology. The ’Kzel-Tu’ collective farms converted a total of 700 hectares of irrigated area into the total irrigated area of 1,583 hectares.
