Cunninghamia lanceolata and Pinus massoniana, is an important afforestation and timber species in southern China, year after year demand for seeds is very large. It is of great practical significance to explore the physiological and biochemical changes in the decline of viability (and vitality) of Chinese fir and Pinus massoniana seed and to reveal the relationship between these changes and viability. It is of great practical significance for the rational storage and modulation of seeds. The understanding of the law of loss of seed viability also has certain theoretical significance. The purpose of this study is to use artificial accelerated aging methods to study the physiological and biochemical changes of Chinese fir and Pinus massoniana seed so as to provide clues for delaying the deterioration of stored seeds.
