将难开花的果蔗(热带种)和甘蔗栽培品种置于12.25小时光照处理下,每天以蓝光和远红光于上午6:00-8:00和下午4:00-6:15,在光周期室作补助光照,以代替露天的阳光。1991年7月1日至12月20日进行此种处理,结果首次在地处亚热带的福建省漳州市(北纬24°30',东经117°39')诱导福建地方优良果蔗──同安果蔗以及甘蔗栽培品种(CP65-357、赣蔗65-542、闽糖81-235和粤糖65-906等分别于12月上中旬开花。1992年6月23日至1993年1月9日,又用此种方法,并经适当改进,进行处理,结果又诱导福建省另一优良地方果蔗品种──马鞍果蔗开花,同安果蔗也再次被诱导开花,福建省大面积的栽培品种闽糖70-611、闽糖703、闽糖76-2和闽糖81-335等首次被诱导开花。
