植物个体发育问题,很早以来就引起了学者和农业实际工作者的注意。虽然学者们很早以前就已经肯定了在高等植物生活周期中有几个主要的年龄时期,可是对植物个体发育所进行的研究,仍未能超出描述科学的范围。只有在19世纪末,尤其是在20世纪前半叶,由于农作学蓬勃的发展与加强,以及由于物理、化学、生理、生化和植物遗传学的发展,才取得一系列卓越的发现,使得剧上高等植物个体发育原理接近实现。关于这一津津有味的问题,在理论阐述与实际研究上,我国的科学当然占据主导地位。
The development of plant individuals has long attracted the attention of scholars and agricultural practitioners. Although scholars have long ago affirmed several major age groups in the life cycle of higher plants, the research on the development of plant individuals has not yet been able to go beyond describing the science.
