广州市番禺区石楼镇中心小学的前身是绍棠书院,始建于1907年,已走过106年的风雨历程。1996年,学校被评为广东省一级学校。2010年,番禺区提出“上品教化”的教育理念,在其引领下,石楼镇中心小学积极深入践行“让教师成功,让学生快乐,让教育精彩”的办学理念,立足于孩子们的终身发展,加强校园文化建设,优化校园环境,并充分借助广州市乡村学校少年宫的平台,把学校打造成为学生成长的花园、乐园和精神家园。近年来,学校先后被评为广东省书香校园、广州市依法治校示范校、广州市安全文明校园、广州市优秀家长学校、广州市德育示范
