在央视十套热播的大型文化纪录片《说吴》,以诗意的方式作为创作切入点,站在当代人文精神的高度,以丰富的影音呈现揭示了吴文化的深刻内涵。《说吴》的创作体现了地域文化研究本质意义的上回归——地域文化研究的意义在于揭示特定地域历史、风俗、人情背后持续发生作用的人文精神。《说吴》以诗意的方式完成了对“真历史”的回归,它的播出是央视“探索发现”栏目求新求变的一次成功尝试。
