苯巴比妥于1911年合成,为一优良催眠剂,惟不溶于水。其后制成水溶性的鈉鹽,广用为安瓿剂的原料。但因其水溶液不稳定,放置过久,徐行分解,致使含量降低,故一般制成粉剂安瓿供用。苯巴比妥鈉的定量方法,文献上記載颇多,但有些方法不是操作煩复,便是限于目前設备条件,未能广泛应用,如非水溶液滴定法,电位滴定法,極譜分析法等。現將各种定量方法举列于下。 Phenobarbital was synthesized in 1911 as an excellent hypnotic agent but insoluble in water.
