Recently, the World Trade Organization announced the report of the Appellate Body of the Export Control Measures of Rare Earth, Tungsten and Molybdenum Products Related to the United States, EU and Japan v. China. The appellate body upheld the Panel’s export tariffs on the products the Chinese involved in. The export quota measures did not comply with the ruling on the WTO rules and China’s accession to the WTO commitments. China eventually lost its case.
