泡桐是优良的速生用材树种,产于我国,一般五至六年即可成材。群众有“一年一根杆,三年象把伞,五年能锯板”及“三年成檩,五年成梁”之说。四川省黔江县一株十八年生白花泡桐,树高21.7米,胸径100.5厘米,材积6.65立方米,年平均生长量达0.37立方米。泡桐树高可达21.7米,胸径可达134.4厘米,材积可达22.48立方米。所以大力发展泡桐对迅速改变我国目前木材供应不足,林业布局
Paulownia is an excellent species of fast-growing timber, produced in our country, generally five to six years to become a success.
