继《公关小姐》、《外来妹》、《情满珠江》等电视连续剧之后,《英雄无悔》、《和平年代》又为广东电视连续剧开创了一重新的境界。同样是改革开放的大背景,同样是商品经济下新的事物新的矛盾,前几部连续剧基本以刻画女性群像为主,而《英雄无悔》与《和平年代》则充满了阳刚之美,以宏大的叙事、波澜壮阔的场景成功地塑造出男性英雄群像,凸现出新英雄主义和新理想主义的精神内核。更为可贵的是,这两部电视连续剧还创造了主旋律片的高收视率奇迹,表明“主旋律”影片亦大有可为。
