1975年在广西产的一只熊猴体内首次发现了一种自然感染的猴疟原虫,并对其形态和生活史进行了研究。一、这种猴疟原虫的红细胞内裂殖周期为72小时,其形态特征基本上与猪尾猴疟原虫相似。二、这种疟原虫不能感染雷氏按蚊;在斯氏按蚊体内能发育即卵囊分化,但迅即出现退变,不能完成孢子增殖;在巴拉巴按蚊体内发育良好,12天(25℃)完成孢子增殖。三、用阳性巴拉巴按蚊感染一只熊猴和4只恒河猴,原虫血症前期前者为8天,后者一致为9天。四、观察了这种猴疟原虫对恒河猴的感染过程。正常不切脾猴引起中等度感染;切脾猴则引起重度感染,感染猴出现严重贫血,甚至死亡。五、根据文献,对这种猴疟原虫与猪尾猴疟原虫进行了比较和讨论,认为这是猪尾猴疟原虫的一个株。
For the first time in 1975, a naturally infected monkey, Plasmodium, was found in a beast monkey in Guangxi and its morphology and life history were studied.
