The new book on Power Engineering, “The Power of Modern Civilization,” was compiled by four Chinese comrades Ni Wei Dou, Jiao Shujian, Zhao Shi Hang and Chen Bin Mo, organized by the Chinese Society for Power Engineering. It is a popular science book on thermal power engineering. The motive force of “modern civilization” includes not only the introduction, but also the current situation of energy and its utilization in China, the historical evolution of power generation equipment in our country, the high-efficiency and low-pollution power generation technology and the power generation system oriented to sustainable development in the 21st century. In the 21st century power generation system, introduced the use of clean renewable energy, oxygen coal gasification at the core of polygeneration
