Mutual reference and innovation among literatures are one of the sources of the development of literature. By contrasting the contemporary Mongolian writer Guo Xuebo’s “Wolf Boy” with the American writer Jack London’s “Call of the Wild”, this article shows that the former draws lessons from such ecological ideas as the ecological crisis, the crisis of spiritual ecology, and the exploration of the salvation path. The latter’s writing experience further points out that Guo Xuebo achieved nationality and world-wide intercommunion by adopting a narrative of multiple perspectives and incorporating Mongolian traditional ecological wisdom into his works.
