中国、俄罗斯以及中亚5国的铁道(运输)部长最近在北京举行会议,共同研究如何发展利用经中国新疆阿拉山口口岸的国际铁路运输通道。大会的宗旨是“加强合作、畅通陆桥、共同发展、促进友好”,保障亚欧大陆桥的畅通,促进合国经贸的发展。 新亚欧大陆桥是横跨亚欧两大洲、连接太平洋和大西洋的第二座亚欧大陆桥。以我国连云港作为太平洋西岸的桥头堡,铁路穿越中国、合萨克斯坦、俄罗斯、白俄罗斯、波兰、德国和荷兰等7国,直至大西洋岸边的鹿特丹港,全长10837公里。在我国境内,从连云港自东向西,经陇海、兰新、北疆铁路,横贯中原、西北五省区直抵新疆的阿拉山口,与哈萨克斯坦共和国的土西铁路德鲁日巴车站衔接,全长4143公里,是整个新亚欧大陆桥的重要组成部分,占总长度的38%
