九年义务教育初中数学教材(以下简称“新教材”),是根据九年义务教育初中数学教学大纲(简称“新大纲”)编写的系统反映数学科特点和内容的教学用书。它与教学系统中的教学大纲、教学过程、教师等诸多因素有着密切关系。要充分发挥新教材在数学教学中的作用,教师必须正确认识并理解新教材与新大纲、新教材与教学过程、新教材与教师间的关系。
