山东省长岛县大胆解放思想,立足优势,抓住机遇,大做“耕海牧渔”的文章,加快了海洋开发和经济发展的步伐。从80年代中期起,养殖生产连续掀起了三次高潮。到目前,全县海上筏式养殖面积达到6万多亩,整个长山列岛周围70万亩的水域已形成一个广阔的蓝色农牧场。据统计,1992年,长岛县的水产品总产量达到15万吨,总产值9.2亿元。
