At the end of August each year, the Physics Department of Peking University welcomes about 150 freshmen. They are smart, studious, full of vigor and confidence, and they are eager to show their skills in physics. However, they are still immature and often lack the right estimates for themselves. Therefore, as the first physics--“mechanics” teacher, while introducing students into the vast world of physics, they also face the task of pointing out students’ deficiencies, guiding them to master learning methods, and comprehensively improving physical literacy. When it comes to methods, the glorious achievements of physicists in history have provided us with excellent examples. For example, the famous universal guide
