国际化和企业绩效之间的关系是国际商务研究领域的重要问题,然而学术界针对二者关系的研究常常出现争议以及混合的结论。本文以2000年至2014年中国218家上市企业为研究样本,引入企业规模的门限效应来研究这些企业的国际化和绩效之间的关系。面板门限回归模型实证分析的结果表明国际化样本企业存在着双重门限效应,不同企业规模下国际化对绩效的影响作用具有统计学意义上显著的差异性:小型和大型企业的国际化都能正向促进企业绩效的改善,而规模适中的企业国际化与绩效之间呈负相关的关系。可以说,考察企业规模的门限效应为研究国际化-企业绩效关系提供了新的视角,为企业国际化发展的战略决策提供了理论依据。最后,本文作者结合经验研究提供了相关政策建议。
The relationship between internationalization and business performance is an important issue in the field of international business research. However, the academic research on the relationship between the two is often controversial and mixed conclusions. Based on the sample of 218 Chinese listed companies from 2000 to 2014, this paper introduces the threshold effect of firm size to study the relationship between internationalization and performance of these firms. The empirical analysis of the panel threshold regression model shows that there is a double threshold effect in the internationalized sample companies. The effect of internationalization on the performance of different sample sizes has a statistically significant difference: the internationalization of both small and large enterprises is positive To promote the improvement of business performance, while the scale of business internationalization and performance of the negative correlation between. It can be said that examining the threshold effect of firm size provides a new perspective for studying the relationship between internationalization and firm performance and provides a theoretical basis for the strategic decision-making of the internationalization of a firm.
