1999年6月30日TDJ中心有史以来的第一次科技大会召开了,这次大会是在铁道部和哈尔滨铁路局科技大会召开的大好形势下举行的.当前我们已处于知识经济时代,“科学技术是第一生产力”和“科教兴国”已成为每个人的共识.国际上,北约对南联盟的轰炸使我们更为清醒地认识到,当前国际上推行的还是强权政治,一个国家如果落后、科技不发达,就只能被动挨打、受欺负,任人被肢解.同样,在国内,一个单位,一个企业,要想在激烈的市场竞争中争取主动,立于不败之地,最重要的一条,就是要不断进行科技创新,不断取得技术进步,才能使我们的企业有后劲,不断发展,在竞争中立于不败之地.TDJ中心本身的发展史也验证了这一点.试想,如果当初我们没有选准减速顶这个课题,并且把这个成果转化成商品迅速推广到各个编组站场去进行应用,我们就不会有1984年的改革起飞.同样,如果我们后来没有在减速顶和减速顶调速系统上不断创新和发展,我们也就不可能在后来的市场竞争中始终处于主动,而发展到今天这个水平.
