Adding a small amount of transition metal will have a significant effect on the microstructure and properties of the aluminum alloy. The effects of zirconium (0.15%), iron (0.1-0.3%), hafnium and yttrium rare earth metals on the microstructure and properties of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system alloys were investigated. The content of iron in alloys containing zirconium, hafnium and rare earth metals is 0.1%. A 15 × 200 mm test piece was cut from the rolled strip, and the test piece was quenched from 460 ° C in water (20 ° C) and then subjected to two-stage aging. The primary aging system for all alloys was 110 ° C for 8 hours. Secondary aging temperature is 174 ℃, aging time varies.
